Had a good day out today with my 13yr old nephew on the new blue run at Kielder. We did some of it in the K100 last year but it's finished now, bedded in, going the right way round and very good. Ok, it's not a super techy jumpfest but I reckon they've done a good job on it. Also, don't tell anyone, but we didn't see another person until we got to the lakeside path.

I did this a couple of weeks ago (with my dog - sssshhh!) and didn't see another rider all day.
It's an enjoyable enough route but it desparately needs some more singletrack in the first 5 - 6 miles to break up the relentless forestry track climb. It didn't help that the day I did it was one of the few this summer that had low cloud and heavy rain.
