Took the tyre off what was a new bike to convert it to tubeless and the supposedly new tube had a patch on it!
No big deal I suppose but has anyone else experienced this?

Did you get the bike from a dealer?

Did you check to see what they'd inserted into the tube before they put the patch on?

Edit.

Could have been a note with "over sensitive" on it.

the tube was probably pinched with a leaver whilst the tyre was being put on and the cheapest option was to patch it. like u id be slightly miffed by it though, especially on a new bike.

as hinted above, hardly a big deal, but i am surprised tbh, its not worth a factories time to repair a tube, a new one is cheaper than paying someone to fix it. ditto a bike shop, trade price for a tube is much less than the wages for someone to fix it.

Was it a display bike? If so someone may have taken it for a test ride round the block and picked up a puncture. The world will keep turning though.
