Have been building it over the last week with a few parts from the classified and some transplants from my old frame. First ride this weekend and can't wait!

Comments on bike/flat cleanliness welcome!

I have one just the same, but in small size.

Great bike, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Having test rode an ibis hd
and a whyte 146s recently i
can only conclude that the
5 spot deserves it's place
in the mtb hall of fame.
So much so that my 04 spot
is being stripped down and
sent back to turner to be
resprayed!
Roll on them dry dusty trails.

I really really do like them.

Dave, how does yours compare to the venty ?

Pedals better and is much more balanced on the steep climbs. The front end wanders a lot less, but the Ventana had a slightly longer fork than designed for on it. The Revs on the turner are a perfect match.

Going DH especially on Rocky stuff it is just as good.

I would love to try it with a coil. The Ventana with a coil, although it pedalled crap, was a hoot on the way down.

The best thing about the Turner is that it just goes about it's business with no hassle at all, you just jump on it and ride.

Just got some wider Race Face carbon bars for it and looking at the Rockshox Reverb dropper post at the moment.

Just make sure that you run a longish seat post as the taco weld can fail on the 2009 model, the weld isn't filled in all the way round. I ran a joplin that had been shortened a little by its previous owner. It was still within "min" insertion depth but the weld started to crack... fairly sure that if you run a full length post it'll be fine.

Having said all that Turner's customer care was ace (once finally contacted direct) and sent me this as a replacement:

since bought a new full length Joplin from CRC's sale. Ace bike, hope you enjoy yours.

I called Turner direct to find out what was going on with my warranty claim, it had been a while.

They offered me a colour choice to sweeten the deal, and sent me a new rear arm as well - brilliant. Really chuffed.

@ spesh jamie
Is the saddle/post at full 'proper' pedalling height in the pic?
IMO (of course) you need to flip the stem and get it against the headset (no spacers) and get some flat or very* low rise bars (5/10mm)
It just doesn't look like it will ride right (or at least as well as it would if they were at least level with one another)

*5/10mm bars just so the bars don't dip after the oversize middle clamp area of the bar like flat bars do. I think at least Ritchey do one, not sure on width though

You'll have loads of fun on it. And they should always have a coil shock.

The saddle is usually a little higher in the frame (about 2 inches).

The cockpit was perfect on my old bike but will play around with the setup on this to get it right.

Current bars are 685mm but fancy trying a set of Easton Havoc bars which are 711mm but will have to wait as if I spend any more money my wife will kill me.

Nice bike jamie, im sure you will love it.
well worth trying a few bar stem options I ended up with 700mm bars and a 70mm stem feels good not too cramped not too twitchy bu tnot lazy.

Mine is similar!
