Just got back from my first ride with a massive grin on my face. Very, very different to the carbon hardtail I sold, but this one has the grin factor.
I love it. Need to get the shock pressure dialled. I guess the best way is to start at factory recommendations and just take a shock pump with me for a few rides. How accurate normally are the factory recommendations for pressure settings?
The problem with the front fork is there are so many bloody adjustments, I'm not too sure where to start. A quiet few hours with the manual, I guess!
Anyway, critique away.

Nice bike. Bash it then smash it!
Nice drive too 🙂
Someone's blocked your gate
very nice...
valves and logos need to be lined up to keep the STW massive happy
Do those blue tiles light up!?
should have gone the whole hog and got Roman pillars
Nice. Are those cocos or kentia palms in the background. Sub tropics?
Old school bare ally front rim! 🙂
Thanks. I really do love the bike. It was a toss up between it and a similarly aged Five; very happy with my choice.
The pillars are structural (a big balcony above) but do add to the tackiness of the tiles, which unfortunately don't light up, the shiny gate etc.*
Wifey blocked the gate. She won't reverse the truck into the driveway.
It's funny how old school a silver rim looks, isn't it! I've got my XC717s (in Lemon, with snowflake build) stashed away for when they become cool again.
Thailand - Phuket to be exact. They're coconut palms. This morning's harvest...
*rented, not mine
Looks familiar!
It's a great ride once you get the. settings sorted.
I ran the rear end stiffer than the manual and max pro pedal. But then I like suss stiffer than most I think.
