Beautiful. One of the nicest looking bikes I've seen on here.

Is the the gold colour or the orange?

Classy.

Anyone know how old a child needs to before he/she can get by on a single kidney?

Lovely bike and one hell of a spec!

What made you go for the AC over the Ion, 10mm different in travel but very similar frame weight?

Not convinced I like the big rims astheticaly, makes it look a bit like a fat bike, but on the other hand I don't like how 650b makes everything look skinny.

However that's mostly just the green eyed moster talking.

@ Rik
Thought about the Ion and spoke with a guy over on MTBR who is involved with Nicolai and the development of the Ion.

In the end it came down to the feeling that the AC is just that bit more of a everyday bike. With the Ion nodding towards a more DH slant.

I had a Helius CC and then test rode the AC 650b back end of last year followig that was sold 😀

Rear ano triange is FOC in black if I remember
Front is a cost option and further costs for a secondry ano colour in the rear triangle plus custom frame stamping / lettering.

Ano black is free.

All other colour options are at cost. The frames are sent away off site and not done in house

Lovely bike. It doesn't look like pinch flats or dinked rims are ever likely to be an issue!

That looks absolutely mint. Some great choices there sir. Would love to know how much better that CCDB Air makes things.

@shredder

I almost chose Ano orange as well. I'll get an orange one in a couple if years. Maybe another hard tail.

Fantastic - was either ano orange or raw for me - went raw in the end, wouldn't have been at all sorry with the orange either.

I likw the wheels.. and I've tried hard not to think about carbon wheels.

Some boring questions:
What size it is?
What does it weight roughly?

Its a size L
It was weighed on the bike shop Moonglus scales and came out just over 30lbs. Quite happy with that for the travel etc was never built with weight in mind.

That's such a lovely bike, was thinking how well specced it was before realising that my own bike is very similarly specced - xtr trail brakes, enve dh bars (couldn't quite stretch to the wheels lol), 55mm haven stem, pikes, ccdb air, reverb, SRAM carbon cranks! Mines all fitted to something even more agricultural though - an alpine 160! Enjoy your Nic, tidy as.

Very nice, I can see what thisisnotaspoon means about the rims but I don't think that's a bad thing.

I love the understated look, it's only if you know your kit that you realise what a top build it is.

Great work!

Thing is, the way the Nicolai Helius linkage/suspension works, pedaling is extremely efficient and the bikes feel light anyway.

That is lovely. Orange Ano looks fantastic but clashes with almost any other colour - works perfectly with the none-more-black build.

We also now have a semi-permeable Orange glaze that's worth a look. The glazes still let you see the metal under the powdercoat so again really suit the Nicolai aesthetic but without the upcharge that coloured ano adds.

Thats a medium Ion 16 650b and available now if any one is on the edge of purchase....
