Just mulling things over in my head…..
I’ve got a 2019 Spark RC900 Pro that’s in good condition that I’m thinking of fitting 165 cranks and carbon wheels to, BUT I’m also thinking would that money (circa £1500) be better spent putting it into a new Epic 8 or Scalpel.
Yes it’s a how long is a piece of string question, but I’d value some opinions - I just wonder if it’s worth putting money into an older bike?
I’d still keep the Spark if I get a new bike but not upgrade parts.

Keep the spark as a better pub bike and probably end up upgrading it anyway.

That is what I just paid for an 8 ride old Orange Stage Evo.
So do consider a 'Brand new second hand'.
In my experience if I've got it in my head that I like the look of something new but talk myself into upgrading the current bike instead because it's a smaller outlay I normally still end up buying the new bike/frame about 3 months down the line, so it's cheaper just to buy what you want from the outset!
Unless your upgrade parts would transfer over if you still had the itch (and the extra cash) in a few months, then it might be worth a try!
