Whyte 901 with some nice bits transferred from my inbred.

first impressions are it's quite short (what I wanted) and fairly slack for an all rounder.

Excited!

Mrs JB is away tonight hence presence of bike in our cream carpeted flat!

Looks nice. So how much is a 901 frame? Didn't think they would sell them as a frame only.

bought it complete. got rid of wheels/casette (going on inbred to sell)

so now it has some pro 2s on XC717s and a nice XT cassette.

Whyte don't do a Frame only on the 901. they do on the higher end stuff though.

Very nice bike - I like it. Hoses and cables need a trim. Need to tidy up the flat before tomorrow as well i reckon.

Like it.

The tea-towel on the oven door needs a wash though.

As you say, they're quite short in the cockpit, so wide bars make for FUN!
Don't forget that tell-tale rotor sitting atop the room thermostat!

Can you launch from the light fitting straight into those trousers Wallace and Gromit style?

If it had been me I'd have closed the other doors to avoid showing everyone my 'surf board in the shower' and 'dressing table clutter' issues.

bike looks nice though 🙂

How is that Ikea chest of drawers in the bedroom holding up?
We have one of them and the drawers have started slipping off their rails.

Nice. You'd better make sure mrs jb doesn't look on here and find out the state of the place when she's away!

Enjoy it.

Very nice - Wheels look an sensible upgrade - go get it dirty now and tell how it rides.

You need to sort out your priorities on the front of the fridge/freezer tbh.

thanks all - off to ride it tomorrow all being well. Flat isn't much tidier when Mrs JB is in residence TBH (which is a good thing IMO)

bike feels quite a lot lighter then my inbred too.

Recon fork looks great - I'm pretty sure I won't notice the difference between that and a reba - but it feels really, really stiff 🙂
