I have permission from the finance manager for a new bike. But not being able to look at things in the flesh is causing some issues!

My currently commuter / do it all is being relegated to turbo duties and I would like something that will work for commuting and weekend club runs.

New office location means a slightly longer commute with a chance to use canal towpath, probably 60% road, 40% off-road.

Ideally, disc brakes, carbon, frame only that I can build using bits I like. Budget is about £1.5k all in. PX Freeranger is the front runner but not overly taken with the graphics.

What else should I be considering?

Thanks in advance?

There’s another thread going with Space Chicken in the title - frame on there is a Carbonda if you’re happy to import yourself. Very similar frame but you choose your paint.

I’ve have a closer look at a Ribble CGR and Chinese import sounds interesting!

Anything else I should research?
