First impressions are that it's big and heavy, but built like a tank and it's fast. proper ride tomorrow.

Lawn critique welcome and the whilst the chainring may look broken, but it's just ovulating.

That looks a giggle.

Ride it more instead of mowing your lawn...

You seem to have some kind of a sink dumped in your garden and some slacker has left a shock pump on the wall. 😉

Good bikes if they fit you but just too short for me need an extra 3cm reach on the large for me to be happy.

Thanks all.

I'm 6'3", but mostly leg. It's a large and suits me reach wise, but I like a shorter cockpit. Might swap to a 780 bar and 50mm stem for the extra width.

B+ wheels are definitely a possibility if I get on with it and reckon they're worth it. The Vigilante has come up pretty big on the the Syntace 35s though!

I'll get it dirty (and spend ages tweaking the shock) tomorrow. Not a lot of clearance for a mudguard so might have to accpet a muddy face.

Cracking bikes , had mine for a while now and it rides lighter than weighs - if that makes any sense.
Sadle looks a little nose high .

I'm wondering if I should have got a large. I'm 6 ft dead but don't have a massive reach. After looking at the geometry and talking to the guys at on one I went fir a medium, wh I'll St descending feels great, climbing I feel a bit bunched up. Although everytime I ride I'm getting pb's so I'm obviously quicker. I had a spesh xc before and the large on one would have had the same reach as it, which I wanted to avoid as I always felt a little stretched on steep stuff on that. Seems as though they don't measure up as the geometry says somehow? I could do with checking my leg over a large Really.

I think being a 29er with a high front end makes it feel shorter, but given that more length would perhaps start to make it unwieldy, then it's all a compromise. If you're near Somerset, then you're welcome to try mine.

The On One love in continues despite the fanbois guru leaving I see.

That looks shit and no doubt has all the the usual On One lack of quality control.

er, well I quite like it.

Nice colour and sensible build.

Try getting the bar as low as you can, really helped the handling on my fs 29er

I think generally other than a few jokes people are positive about people's new bikes regardless of manufacturer and if they aren't keen they generally move on.

Whereas you seem to be doing nothing but using this as an opportunity to slag of On-One with some random conjecture. Quality seems excellent so far.

No issue with you thinking it looks shit and saying so however.

Thanks, I already feel like it'll probably go down a bit.

I've had mine just over a week and I'm loving it so far, size large at a shade under 6'3" with a 40mm stem and 740 bars. Shock settings wise, I tried the settings Cane Creek reccomended for the El Guapo 29, then changed them to the settings the team riders had been using and found it much better. HSC 3 1/4 turns, LSC 3 (I then added a couple of clicks so it's now at 5 clicks from minimum), HSR 3 1/4 and LSR 15 clicks. I've found that it pedals so well that very little LSC is needed. I do wish mine was blue though.

Thanks sambob, I was just going to search out those settings! Looking good.

Point that downhill and it will be a hoot....

That's the plan. Hoping it'll go up ok with the dual position forks giving me a 130mm F+R 29er, which sounds so much like an XC bike that I can hopefully convince myself I ought to be making good upward progress.

Reckon it'll be a both wheels off job to get it in the car.

It'll climb fine at 130, my pikes are at 140 with 20mm ride bars and It climbed a dream on steep farm tracks. What's the other travel amount your forks have, 150mm?

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Stoke. I have emailed them to see if they can do me a bare frame. Although, I think you may be on to something with the high front end. Mine still has three spacers under the stem so could be dropped a lot yet. I'm thinking this will actually put me in a better position. I'll try on the next ride I think, cheers guys

Ps I also set up the shock with the race settings. Haven't found the need to change anything since, although I'm not pretending to be well informed about what the settings effect anyway!

160 and it's got a -1 Works headset too, so it'll be interesting to see how it does.

I'm sure I'll spend far too much time playing with the shock, but it sounds like the race settings will be good to work from.

Definitely going to miss a bottle cage.

I'm in Whaley Bridge if you want to try mine Crispy1980. That sounds like it'll be crazy slack, 65 degrees or something like that?

You'll have a hoot on it. I've had mine a bit over a year and still getting on great. I'll switch it to 1x10 rather than x01 at some point, and when I literally can't keep the wheels running any more they'll go too. Pike and CCDB are awesome on it, but I don't think you'll fit a B+ rear wheel in. When pushing hard in the corners mine rubbed with a Hans Dampf 2.35 in the rear at the EWS, so I don't think something wider will work.

It's a damned fast bike and as you say a tank. Suits me 🙂

Very blue! If its as much of a downhill tank as my Trigger you'll love it.

Sambob at some point ill take you up on that offer. For the minute I've dropped the bars right down to see if that counters the cramped feeling. I dud email on one to see if they could sell me a bare frame, but they replied that they didn't have any large anyway and all they could do is offer me the bundle deal at 800, which us obviously a no go.

Saddle's a bit low.

Other than that. Nice colour.

Looks certainly to be bang on 'trend' for 2015, whatever that means these dayz.

Woo! 😛
