Apollo creed.
Dunno what bike but looks like they've added a hair to the paint below the star..😫
Short n curly is the new long low slack?
Is it a crack, or a pube in my paint?
That would always annoy the hell out of me after seeing it in the photo!
Merlin Malt G2P Tiagra
do I win a prize ?
Knowing this forum - it’s a Cotic or Genesis
Erm, the reflection in the black bit is enough for me to run screaming from the thread!
The odd mark on the orange paint is wiped off....
The dodgy reflections, I can't do much about...
someone's nicked the pedals !
Swines...
I can now clearly see the inspiration for the paint job.
‘snice! 👍🏽
Immediately made me think of this;

Nice looking bike though (yours I mean).

Indeed it was - it's a bolt through so I had to adjust the angle with hex key.
Also see angle of saddle, stem and bars, all now sorted...
Those paving slabs could do with a jet wash
Oh, but that Pine Mountain though!
Love the look of that paint job.
My father-in-law has a Pine Mountain exactly as above in his garage.
He loves telling the story of how he went OTB and broke his collarbone and thus ended his Mountain bike journey.
Merlin looks good, pube apart. Enjoy it.
I had one of those Pine Mountain's. First 'proper' mountain bike.
OP - be interested to hear how you get on with this, am looking at the GRX version as a Winter roadie bike (although noting that the right size for me has already sold out!).

Not having it in top gear was enough for me to look away in disgust, at least the cranks are level.
Two rides in now - one road, one off road.
Firstly it's a near match for my orange shoes. Priorities and all.
Bad bits
- despite full rack and guard mounts on the frame and lower guard mounts on the inside of the fork, there is no fork crown mount. Odd. And confirmed as correct by Merlin. So 6 braze on or glued in mounts out of 7 are provided. It's a bit OnOne really.
Perhaps not yet bedded in the pads, but these brakes don't bite as well as our other two sets of Tektro drop bar brakes - the others are Lyra and Mira, these are no model name on them.
The bars feel a touch narrow for broad shouldered me.
Good Bits
Noticeably lighter than my son's 2017 Boardman CX comp, marginally lighter wheels I think and the Kenda Kwiks roll faster on and off road better than Small Block Eights. Still not scalded cat, but certainly more Collie than Labrador when taking off and getting up to speed.
Much lower BB and laid back head angle is more stable than the Boardman.
It feels more comfortable on rocky trails, can't work out if that's tyres, saddle and post or frame and full carbon fork Vs bonded alloy and carbon fork.
The 2x10 Tiagra gears are so much better shifting with smaller jumps and less throw at the shifter. More 'snick' like Deore & SLX than plastic 'click' that is Acera.
Overall I'm really pleased, apart from the odd missing mudguard mount.

Yadda Yadda new bike, blah blah blah
what did I win?
😉
what did I win?
I can find the paint-pube again if you like? What's your address?
I've been staying with Flashy recently
Send it to his country pile with my regards
That Marin grovel bike is revolting! What’s with all the jarring lines? Headtube from an XL on a med by mistake?
Huge chainstays and pencil thin seatstays- and those dropouts.... 🤢
