V nice - An oasis of horror in a desert of boredom.
Nice 👍👍👍
I like the colour, I do like the straight line formed from the suspension and front triangle into the rear triangle, but I generally dislike how ebikes look. Fat frame, fat tyres, fat cassette, it all just look a bit bloated and that 2nd photo isn't doing it any favours, but photo 3 makes it look a lot better.
Tasteless but it looks fun. 🙂
Looks great...good for you! 😀
Looks good in that colour. I have a 2020 Rail 7 in volt and teal. It’s a cracking bike and has got me out cycling again.. win..win.
Looks mint , cant see why anyone would hate on it . If it gets you out on a bike what difference does it make if its got a battery. Enjoy your bike bud.
Love ebikes
cant see why anyone would hate on it
I don't hate e-bikes and I don't hate purple but there is something to hate, aesthetically, about that downtube
Like ebikes, like purple bikes, but coloured hope tat sucks balls.
sorry!
looks lovely indeed
I like the funky paints Trek have been putting on their bikes recently.
Excellent over use of grey and purple. 👌
It does look fun.
ya need to give your camera phone lens a wipe
Got to love a good ebike, had mine over a week and had the first ride on it yesterday in the lovely rain and mud in FoD, it absolutely gives me extra range and choice, can't see why folk grumble about them, it's another 'weapon in the arsenal' as i see it, instead of stopping you doing stuff it pushes you to do more stuff.
E Bikes are great, apart from the increased maintenance
^^^^ I don't find I have to do any increased maintenance on my 2. I accept they will break, electrically, at some stage, at which point the warranty and LBS will be used...
Purple Rail, purple Rail
I only want to see you riding on your purple rail
Here all week.
Just bought a specialized levo SL. Did 1000m of climbing and 30k yesterday, came back with 40% battery and a huge grin. Not ruined this morning. Only issue is the normal bike feels like it has 2 permanent flat tyres now.
Radness! Enjoy! Although it does remind me of lip filler procedures

yeah- they do make a normal bike feel slow on uphill and the more flat trails. If I was purely going downhill (ie on an uplift day) I'd still rather be on my normal bike, but for everything* else I'll choose the ebike.
Mine is great, just enables so much more fun stuff.
* OK not quite everything - if there's hike a bike involved I'll take the normal bike too.
Hmmm, for some reason I suddenly feel peckish.

Boom I’d smash that if it had long hair and lippy on
Show me a static picture of a bike that makes it look better when the bikes not;
stood perpendicular to the ground,
at a lens height above the linkage or at a push, the bars,
has some oblique angles and perspective
Rule1, 2 round wheels of the same size (relatively if mullet)
Nice bike though 🙂

I saw this in a bike shop the other day and thought the same thing.

I test rode a Rail last week. I loved it. Enjoy.
Looks great 👍
Enjoy.
Enjoy your riding, thats all that matter, happy trails
Not a decision I was too happy making TBH. Age (nearly 65) and and respiratory issues led me to start selling a few bikes and buying this.
I’ve ridden It twice now and been absolutely blown away. Big grins are back, and I’m hoping it’ll get me a few more riding years in. Plus, not feeling physically sick afterwards and the next day is a real bonus.
Cheers for your input guys.
Ebikes are smile machines, quite a few them have been vaguely swished with an ugly stick but that's not too bad.
Beauty! Hope you enjoy it
Awesome Pipiom, enjoy sir. 🙂
Colour scheme lacks taste, but thats one of the better looking emtbs IMO. It doesn't have that buster-gonad swollen bollocks look from the fat low motor and it has the straight line from the head tube to the rear axle.

At least it makes the OP's e-bike look tasteful and restrained.
Love the colour.

They are indeed ace. I'm 10 years younger, do have CV issues but the fun-factor was a big selling point 👍🏻 Enjoy it.
Trek should have gone full purple, just looks grey when you're looking down on it.
Awesome colour. Love the fact it's given you your riding back. Enjoy!!

Well, maintenance is same as always on mine, but it will get through consumables quicker (pads, chain, cassette).
But then I ride it more often, further, faster, and there's more load on the transmission so expected.
Suspension seems to need doing more often. 50 hours on an E Bike seems like it's taking a lot more welly than 50 hours on a regular bike.
On the regular bike I used to leave it till about 80 hours, but on the E Bike I think it really needs doing at 50!
Chain/Cassette/Chainring wear is doubled. Chain cleaning is harder due to inability to back pedal.
The area around the motor needs cleaning out every so often. Done 3000km and I've not done mine yet.
Internal routing looks complicated AF. But not had to do it yet.
Will the bearings wear out faster as well - really not sure - not had to replace any.
Battery is almost hassle free in Summer but whats it's going to be like in Winter. The bike is stored and charged in the garage all the time. Transporting the bike in the Winter as well - Towbar rack, salted roads, and heavy rain.
Then there's the trip back to the bike shop when the inevitable Motor breaks. Not happened to me yet but the Motor does not sound the same as it did when it was new !
But they have made Solo riding enjoyable and fun. I was really starting to hate going Solo on an MTB. The Climbing was just getting so boring. Not so bad when out with a load of mates, and I still use the MTB for that. But for Solo rides, if there's any big hills, the EMTB comes out every time!
Your garden is ****ing massive! Block paving and wall look like they could do with a bit of work though. Bike looks surprisingly nice for an e-bike. I just normally find them ugly looking.
It's lovely!
It’s a Trek. You should have warned us that it’s a Trek!
Awesome bikes, you’ll love it
Here’s my baby
