You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more

Finally it lives, if a bit bodged together 🙂 taking it for a little local test ride this evening if it stays dry. Sommet 27 frame courtesy of the CRC sale. Luckily didn't really have any compatibility issues considering it's all "old standard" stuff - just 142mm rear hub end caps and 3mm spacers either side needed. Chainline seems ok with all my non boost stuff.
Shock could possibly do with some tokens added as at 30% sag it seems to be using a lot of travel even just bouncing around the street off curbs etc. Anyone else found this with the Super Deluxe Select R? Not sure how many tokens to add, it looks fiddly so only want to open it up the once if possible!
Priority for upgrades is probably the fork - feels really stiff and un-plush compared to the new shock! Could just need a lowers service & low friction seals, but will need to go 27.5 at some point anyway so will prob get a 170mm Yari or Z1 if one comes up at a good price.
Nice looking bike.
Looks good. I would go for a ride to see how the shock feels first as the car park test isn't always realistic. Shock tokens are easy to add, if it has the plastic ones that clip on then they're very easy as the air can should come off easily with it all still attached. Even bands are pretty easy and only need one bolt removing.

I have been considering going full murdered out with black stanchion forks, replacing all the silver bits with black etc 🙂
