Been in retirement for a couple of years as was mentally struggling with gnarr Vs getting older (I'm 48).

Missed road trips and bike parks and a few riding buddies got in touch recently.

I did lots of dirt jump/street BMX before crossing over into hardcore hardtails (Spooky Metalhead, Brooklyn's, Chameleons, Evil Sovereign, Bluepigs etc etc) so prefer a hardtail although I went 'into retirement' on full suss.

On-Ones HelloDave piqued my interest awhile ago but then their build times increased. Recent price drop and in-stock saw me order one, XL in orange.

Bars swooped to spare Renthal's, ubiquitous ODI longnecks and flats fitted, first ride today.

Does what it says on the tin, ponderous floppy plodder of a thing uphill, okay for XC bimbling, absolute weapon downhill. I need to regain some upper body strength to pull the front up for manuals but so far all good.

I'm waiting for mine to be delivered. Head said orange, heart said green.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it, I'm pretty excited for when mine arrives.

@didnthurt

The orange is way more day-glow hi Viz in the flesh. Would have preferred the clear coat raw they did but only the XL orange was in stock when I ordered.

The only other thing I forgot to mention was I cut some coke can shims for the brake pads as the the levers don't have bite point adjust and I like as little freestroke as possible.

Came well built and safely packaged. Good value bike for the money.

Got mine today. The green in real life is just as nice as the photos (as long as you like green, that is).

Seems well put together and the brakes and gears were set up fine.

It's a big beast once built up but not ugly (imo), almost handsome.

First spin around the block had me thinking I'd made a massive mistake as it's handling was incredibly 'flip-floppy'

Back into the garage where I dropped the bars (leaving just the one 10mm spacer). Rolled the bars forward a touch and added a few clicks of rebound. Out for another spin around the block and it feels much better. Rode some stairs, a couple of wee drop offs and a small jump (it's actually a section of pavement that acts as a small kicker). It just flys going down hill.

I think I'll need to get the bike out over the next week to properly test it out.

Happy times ahead...... Or it might just be the death of me... 😉

Got mine in green last weekend and love it. I've added some green death grips, nukeproof bars and a fabric saddle but it feels so planted on descents. Was annoyed that the rims aren't set up tubeless, but just gorilla taped them up and they have held air fine. The tyre's are heavy but they do grip really well in the peak district mud.

I'm 6,1 and went for the large but think I should of possibly gone for the XL.

I think you are correct on the large, Im just under 6'6" on an XL and it feels big (too me).
