After posting up the other week about ebikes I've decided to take the plunge and buy one !

Managed to find a Whyte E150s 29 in the right size and went up to collect today

Updates to follow after first ride etc.

Cheers

Steve.

That's four new bikes you've had (that I know of) in the last few months 🙂

You're living the dream.

Cheers all.

It is the XL, may have to put a shorter travel dropper on it as this is every so slightly too long but will see how it goes.

Fit is pretty similar to the XL Hightower I've just sold.

They are heavy old beasts though aren't they. 😂

Can the mods just make Renton new bike day a sticky thread and pin it at the top?

Hope this one works out for you OP!

Has it got the latest 85nm firmware on the motor?

You can press some buttons on the controller to get it to display the current firmware version for the du (drive unit), anything above version 1.1.0.0 is the 85nm version.

It's worth getting it done if hasn't been updated.

Have you chipped it yet? They're much safer when you can keep up with traffic.

TFFT! 👍🏻

I’m going with its “to big” in 5 weeks time .

That long...? 😂

To be fair though, longer reach numbers seem to make even more sense on eBikes as there's more sprung mass to preload the tyre and suspension with

Couldn't afford the E bike with out selling that mate.

Initial spin round and it feels good.

It's literally 8mm longer than the HT but is fitted with a 35mm stem as opposed to the 55mm on the HT
