Genesis Latitude
Its the first bike I've ridden with disk brakes, 9-speed and a modern suspension fork.
- the Mountain King tyres were a little slithery in places but not as horrific as I was expecting after what I had read
- I found myself 'trying my brakes' twice after riding through deep puddles - forgetting that I no longer had rim brakes 😳
- I need to find a way of making the fork less soft, its nice and smooth, but honking out of the saddle is like being on a pogo stick
- The bars are wide too - nearly had my hand off when I took my usual route through a narrow gap between 2 trees
Could do with playing with the saddle position/angle slightly - but overall really happy with it - feels like its got bit of 'zip' when compared with my old bike!

that blue nob on the top of the right fork leg - swing it to the right if you want to stop the fork going up and down. 😉
you might need a 'firmer' spring if you are heavy. forks often come with a medium spring. assuming they are coil forks.
its the compression damper, its just that when its 'locked out' its at max damping. give it a click or two round it it'll be sweet.

If it's a coil fork (looks like a Recon?) crank up the preload before you go buying a new spring, that'll make it bounce a bit less overall (but will also take less edge off the bumps).
Yes, its a Recon - I'll experiment with the preload -thanks.
I'm only 12 stone, so don't class myself as heavy!
