You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi All.
Been lurking around for a while now so I thought i'd say hello.
Took delivery of a spangley new full suss yesterday and i'm off out tomorrow with OS map in hand to explore the local area.
I live right on the edge of Andover and i'm only a few minutes away from open country side. I've never explored the area before so can any of you kind local people recommend and good cheeky trails or single tracks?
I'm aware that Collingbourne Woods are pretty good but my fitness probably won't allow me to cycle that far yet and I won't have a car tomorrow as Mrs MM is away for the weekend.
Any pointers would be very much appreciated.
P.S. for those of you that might be curious, the bike is a Cube AMS 100 Pro. Pictures will follow when I can figure out how to post them.
Thanks in advance. MM 😀
Why not hit up the BMX track! It's rather good fun, actually!
There's some good stuff around Collingbourne, that's true, but also have a look at Chute Forest. some cracking stuff around there.
Another option, head over to the Plantations for some jumpy fun and games before tracks and trails across to the Clatfords. You could then take it down to Stockbridge for a coffee and a cake at Lilly's before heading back over.
I was thinking of having a blast around the planies. Haven't been there for years. Probably full of burnt out cars now!!
Thoughts at the mo are to start on ladies walk and then through the HGC into clatford and head to Longstock. It's from that point i'm undecided. Trying to stay away from Stockbridge (not because i don't like it, but because i'm trying to avoid the old railway line. Very boring to ride along). Whats Danebury Ring like?
