Finished my SYNC build and decided to do a build blog:

http://www.foxyrider.co.uk/kinesis-titantium-sync-build/

At least I can see what it looked like when new after it gets dirty and scratched LOL

Nice blog and a properly lovely bike.

Had planned to do something similar for a recent TT bike build but didn't have the time. Have a roadrat frame on order so have another chance soon!

One question, what pipe cutter did you use for the steerer tube? Always make a mess of mine with a saw.

An old one of my dads I inherited - about 15 years old - It's similar to this one: Pipe Cutter

Nice page, what do you think of the forks? Much brake dive?

TBH not ridden it enough so far. The recommend weight:psi is a little high so just set it to 25% sag. Reviews suggest the slider SL2 take a little time to bed the seals (like I used to have to do with Fox forks) so early days yet but I have yet to drop the saddle for a slow droppy descent yet - Day off tomoz so will go for a decent ride 🙂 Prob get myself a dropper soon as well to make the most of the potential 🙂

Great blog, seriously good photos. I went for a different build, pretty much the same spec as the pivot 429 XT/XTR, with Fox forks, heard very good things about the Xfusions though. A dropper post is a great addition, did you go for direct mount rear mech? Makes shifting ultra snappy.

A few more pics, not your standard though foxy. Have fun on your day off.

Nice build rewski (Is that the downs in the background? - Yeah I went for the std build so SRAM X9 so no direct mount available that I know of but I may change groupset in time when bits wear out 😉 although SRAM may go DM?

She's a beaut for sure - fell in love after seeing the proto 🙂 hopefully the weather will hold tomoz 🙂

Nicely done. The build looks lovely and the photos are superb. Is there a full spec of the build on there, or have I missed it?

I have been into landscape photography for the last year (hence my absence on STW) so thought I'd apply it to some bike porn too 😉

Modified from the FF29 build pack 🙂

The downs indeed. That's the steep chalky rocky climb out of Pentlands in Jevington, the Sync flew up that, and down 🙂

Not wanting to sound too nerdy but did you get the kenda slant 6's, they're loving the dry trails.

I used to live near Lewes as a kid 🙂

No I got the Bronsons - very easy to mount tubless tbh - seem pretty good alrounder atm - used to a Kenda Nevegal Tubless Fr and Crossmark rear combon on my 26er HT and the Bronsons seem OK ATMN but not pushed them yet 🙂 I guess the Slant's are a little lower profile?

Thanks Timc - No a very kind friend who is a great graphic designer, Simon Bradley (also a MTB nutt) did it for me @_Si_Bradley for some landscape prints 🙂
