I've been working 12hr days for about months now - running a business solo. So I've not been out on my bike in weeks. Doesn't stop me thinking about them, so i've bought my self a new project

Just googled them.

Lovely.

Are you buying direct from the USA?

Yeah, so i expect a huge import duty. But i wanted something very specific..... steel frame, breezer style dropouts, 135mm back end, tapered (or 44mm headtube) and minimal cable guides. This was the closest i could get without a custom build.

That, is a great looking frameset.

I so want to like gravel bikes, they look brilliant, but I just don't. At least not the ones I've ridden, but I've never been a roadie.

Columbus Life tubing and a decent weight. Although the disc brake mounts are out of date and the geometry is a little odd.....

Agreed, but I'd rather run post mount than flat (as I have some brakes spare). it was designed in 2015 so the geo is more cx than gravel and hasn't changed since - they're a track frame company predominantly so it's a little more short and snappy than a long haul gravel bike. They've branded it gravel but really it's a cx bike.

Bought the remaining build now. Just need to work out the correct length stem. It's going to be a trp / grx mix up and whiskey parts co contact points.

I'm going to be using it as a fun, big tyre road bike that has off road capability rather than out and out gravel (I've one of those already).

Nice, like that especially the Cadbury's purple one. 'Good choice' as they say in posh restaurants... 👍

I liked the purple version too, I was tempted to go that way. But my other bike, which will share wheels with this occasionally, is covered in purple anodised bits so I went mint green.

She's finally here....
Took a while to import (all of May), but she's turned out nice. New stem to order (Whiskey parts co) and hoses to sort...

How do you shift?

I presume that's what the buttons are on the inside of the RH hood.

I was going to ask the same question!

Shifter is a x-shifter, so electric. The actuator is in the storage bag on the down tube Long with tube/tool/levers and spare hanger. I had it spare from my bamboo bike after winning if on ebay. Worked out cheaper to use the same set up on this bike (trp hylex brakes and x-shifter) than a full grx.

Import duty turned out to be £30 so win there...

Hose is currently being shortened at my lbs, along with some other tweeks......

QQ - where did you order the Whisky bits from?

Keen on one of their seatposts for myself.

The whiskey parts co bits came from my local bike shop. Slam69.
But most bike shops should be able to get them as they are imported by ison-distribution.

Quick update, not been able to get out on it much hense the delay in updating ....

Quite possibly my fave 'road' by or I've owned - which inst say much as this is my third...

engine11 dirtee

Ended up going for a 110mm whiskey parts stem, so a bit longer than the temp blue one I had on there.
It's turned out to be a not particularly fast, but fun bike. Off-road it's ok, gravely towpaths it's great but techy stuff def isnt it's forte. Oh and it ended up quicker getting the hope headset than the Chris King in the end, so I saved some cash.
