Well...a frame atleast.

Built up from parts taken from my 2016 Orange Five frame; feels lighter and I like the suspension action, albeit the Five was also a decent bike.

Been close to buying one of the new spitfires myself. I loved my v2 spitty and regret selling it. I currently have the latest 2017 Five. Which is great but can't get away from wanting another Spitfire. I enquired about a new one the other day but it came with a monarch and that was it! If I wanted shock less I was offered whatever they could get from eBay off. So it made the decision not to buy pretty easy.

No doubt I will order one still....

Ah, mines enroute to the lbs to build CAN NOT WAIT!

Robowns is that the 2017 frame with the split top tube, looks really nice

Russy if you don't mind a 2016 frame then you can have one with a ccdb inline for a good discount. Pm me if interested

V666ern - thanks, would probably want a new one. Bit funny about warranties after some of the cracking issues they have had on the last generation

Love my 2015 Spitfire.

Use to be an habitual bike buyer /seller but think I've found myself a keeper.

Looks great - I really like all the subtle improvements on the newest version!

Just finished a three day trip of Afan, Black Mountain Cycle Centre (brilliant, go there!) and Bike Park Wales (where I admired teethgrinder's coil shock - very badass).

Don't forget the flip-chips - I rode Afan with it in neutral, did a few runs at BMCC like that, then dropped to slack without even missing an uplift (and the new two position design looks easier to swap). Super low BB and rocky climbs like Afan would be annoying but it's magic for most other stuff.

After all that riding I'm debating putting the forks back up to 160 from 150 - anything to help with epic levels of arm pump! Running 5% more sag would keep the sagged geometry the same. The back end is just magic - on the gnarlier trails it feels like the longest 140mm ever, keeps pace happily with 160mm+ bikes.

Yours looked pretty good too. Liked the slack set.

The coil on the back makes me want a coil in the Pikes. Hopefully on one will get firm and xfirm Ti Boxxer coils back in for £5 again so I can modify (bodge) something.

Yeah it's the 2017 model gents, surprisingly light.

Currently running 140mm forks in the slack mode (pretty similar geo to the new five at 150 by the looks of things - checked as it was a contender when I bought this). Feels awesome but the bb is as low as I'd want to go, I think slack setting with 150mm would be ideal.

2015 Spitty owner here!
Currently running 150mm Sektor Gold forks, considering some Pikes, should I go 160mm or stay on 150mm?
Any advice greatly appreciated... cheers.
