Finally started piecing everything together this morning...God (wife) willing (allowing) should be finished tomorrow (bar steerer cutting).

Latest forks...outdated wheels 😉

Nice, very nice. Love the colour-scheme in particular. 8)

The wheels took two weekends to strip them of their decals and 1 litre of nail varnish remover! AC All Mountains...brilliantly strong and light, but bloody awful colours (red/white) that felt like they had been laser etched.

Coming in at 27.6lb with pedals too. Damn the pikes are light for 35mm stanchions.

Edit: 1x10 set up

Like that. Pick my green 26" wheel frame up later this week from its previous owner, looking forward to getting it built up and muddy.

The flexi noodle works a treat with the KS remote.

Nice! Light isn't it? My Spitfire (bigger wheels and shock but otherwise similar) is 31lbs.

Just riding around my cul de sac (when I noticed my wheel needs truing) was fun just popping off curbs! The fork is like nothing I've ridden before.

1600g AM wheels, a bar that's 166g(750mm!!!...and I'm 12 st so shouldn't snap...probably) and mag ti pedals helped the weight.

Really need to get out on it asap so I can decide between this and my Soul for Dyfi in the coming months.

Rode mine for the first time today, absolutely brilliant. It replaced a HL 5 Spot, which I loved & is definitely a worthy successor. Really fun bike to chuck about the woods...

Oh, if you fancy swapping your blue pivot hard wear for my black, I'd be keen... 😉

Haha...I originally did want the black pivot covers, but the blue ones have grown on me, matching the blue bits on the shocks and forks.

Yours looks very nice, that green looks good!

I do like my green but it looks really smart in grey, your build looks damn fine. X

'Stealth black' apparently. The 2014 grey colour isn't as good IMO...actually I think the new 2014 looks a little ungainly.

When I decided to buy it I searched for months for a medium frame and was about to buy a lemon one, when suddenly this popped up on pinkbike and bought it the same day. It was a warranty replacement so the last ever 26" shipped to our shores.

Quite funny actually as the dealer had to put it on his website for me to buy...but had to hide it in the 'nutrition' section so no one else bought it for the knock down price!!

2012 American Classic All Mountains...with the hideous red/white logos removed.

Like them so much I bought a 2013 pair for my Soul...but with much better decals that don't need removing. Bloody good price too...nearly 40% off the rrp.

Easy to service, fit tyres without levers...but an extra cost to retro-fit a rear thru axle.

Are those both Rubber Queens, what are they like as a pair, I am wrestling at the moment with what to put on my FS and am a tad put off by the price. Are they worth it?

Not used the RQ' s on this bike yet but have on my Soul and an ex8. I find them grippy and pretty good rolling resistance wise. They don't love thick mud...but as soon as it gets dry they will be great. Weight wise, one was 757 and the other 783 against a claimed weight of 765 (protection version).

You can get them from bikediscount.de for £60-£65 a pair… either the UST or Protection versions.

Awesome, I have an ex8, not too much mud in NZ so could be a very nice option. Just costly. But will check out the german offerings. Thanks for the tip.

How many headset spacers bandit people? I'm on 25mm with a 20mm rise bar but think I may go lower.

errr surely that's to personal taste? what ever feels good to you.

I have zero spacers with 5mm rise bar cause I like it low but understand this wouldn't suit everyone.
