I doesn't look artificial, and if so that is an outstanding lawn!

In that first pic, I thought what a weird little basket you have on the back until I realized it was a vent! Is it biopace? that's the oval one that's the wrong way isn't it?

Can't believe the local bowing club let you park it on their green.

Have fun!

The rationale behind this bike is to serve two purposes, to indulge my insatiable desire for all things retro and more importantly, to be a Dad bike! Mrs M and I have been trying for many years to make two become three and we're due to become parents within the next 4 weeks, excited! Obvz I had to get another bike.

I'm 42 and Mrs M is 44 its coming a little later than we might have hoped but the fact its happening at all is really precious.

Anyway, yeah the bike. Biopace is just plain weird, you can really feel the shape in the pedal stroke. I had hoped to cobble together some sort of single ring set up @ the front with something a bit more modren, any suggestions are welcome, it'd be nice to shed some of the weight as I imagine its on a par with a cruise ships anchor.

Oh, and the ghetto Jones bars, optional hand positions at a fraction of the cost of the real thing!

Re; the grass, its just my thing, neat freak.

Congratulations. And that is some tasty retro, here's hoping ghetto-Jonesing becomes a thing, if it's not already.

I really like that. A proper bike for proper cycling, and that colour is awesome. Cheapest way to go 1x would be a new chain ring in the middle position and a bash ring outside.

+1 on the grass and the baby.

Reminds me a of my hack/kid transporter, same chainset, tyres and vintage-ish. Are you going to change to flat pedals? Can't imagine having to put on disco slippers every time you wanna nip out with kiddo being convenient + possible failure-to-unclip toppling over wouldn't be good with that cargo.
