I transferred many of the parts from my Inbred, which I'll still build back up for the winter with a X-Fusion Slide fork. Build cost from scratch would be a bit over 2k.
It's a stable ride and a pretty good climber. Just over 31lbs, 66.5 head angle, 1180mm wheelbase. It rips!
Looks very, very nice. 🙂
nice that mate. very nearly had one prior to getting the enduro.
Not sure I like the gear cable running as it is. Other than that it looks really cool.
Oh, sort out your grass, tis a disgrace.
Looks lovely. Nice one!
Got one with a very similar build, great bikes particularly at the price.
Not seen one in white before, looks good.
Very nice!
Looked a lot at those frames before deciding on a Sherpa.
If my knees and back can't hack it would seriously consider one.
Thats nice that.
What size is it?
It's a large. Fits me fine, I'm 6'. A longish top tube means I run a 35mm stem with no problems.
Pike 150mm solo air 51mm offset - £512
Where from please?
From here: http://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/rock-shox-pike-rct3-29-solo-air-150-tapered-ml-15-51mm-offset-black-135329 Bought them two weeks ago, but the price no doubt fluctuates with the exchange rate.
Ta.
29er pikes £540 at winstanleys 51mm offset http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/index.html
I'd already found some at £521 at Merlin.
Now that I like! Am seriously considering one of these as it seems to get great reviews from everyone that has one
Have you got a slack set in it?
Head angle is 68deg as standard isn't it?
Yes, I added offset bushing hardware to the lower shock mount. The fork is also 150mm, rather than the 140 the frame's set for. I could always add an offset to the top shock mount too, but will see how it goes for now.
I put a -1deg slackset in mine from new, feels about right with a 150mm Pike.
I think you've got a good build, the stiff wheels will be the making of it.
Where do you ride?
Also went with the -1 angleset from new, and 150mm Pike.
Got the -1.5 cup too, but never bothered trying yet.
I'm based in Shropshire, so I've got lots of steep technical stuff on my doorstep. It's been ten years in the making, trying to build a bike that's perfect for my local riding. Don't know whether I've cracked it but it's definitely the best I've built so far.
