The wife's after a new MTB. There doesn't seem to be many brands who do women specific bikes.
Price range upto £1500

Any suggestions...???

Mrs MC has a WSD Trek but when that got nicked she got a men's Genesis Core 40 and was a lot happier with that. Try them out.

that's because WSD is normally just a marketing con.

Find something the right size and go from there, changes that may make a difference would be around saddle - expect to change anyway, grips and brake lever reach. Perhaps a bit on stem and top tube but all people are different and all have very different proportions.

Mike is right. WSD is BS. Giant Trance is hard to beat IMO.

Unless she's tiny, wsd doesn't do a lot. My other half, redwoods on here, never ends up on a wsd, just a blokes bike with different saddle.

Stem sway, lever position and bar width are looked at as part of the set up anyway. Come to think of it, so is the saddle, as incontinence often stick with the stock perch.

Bloody auto correct on an alleged smart phone. Really should learn to proof read what I type although I'm sure my phone changes it just as I hit the post button.
