Hi everyone, new on here just wanted a bit of advice on buying a new bike I was going to get a cube acid 2012 but I have seen a 2011 whyte 901 could anyone give me some advice to which to buy or any other mtb between £600 and £1000

Bit of a loose purchasing criteria you've set out, but both are good bikes.

Biggest thing to consider is what kind of riding you want to do, where you'll be riding etc. Do you want a lighter, racier bike, or one that's a bit more relaxed though by no means laid back?

£600-£1000 will get you lots of VERY good bikes (and also some not so good), before you just go out and buy the one you like the look of the most, stop and consider what your priorities are.

Or ignore everything I've just said, buy the Whyte in the morning, and get out and ride it as much as you can. In 6 months time you'll know more about what kind of riding you're into and what your priorities are anyway, and you can re-assess then...

Cheers mboy, want to get back into riding single track mainly want to get the right bike a good all rounder can't afford to get it wrong that's why posting on here to get some advice
