So far, really like it. Colour's amazing in sunlight - really sparkles. Back end far less 'skippy' on singletrack than the hardtail most of the kit was on before, climbing traction even better

I like that it doesn't look too 'fat' too.

I hope you've sorted that stem out Wwaswas 😉

'Tis a beautiful bike, i'm not sure photos quite do the colour justice.

A full-suspension fatbike 😮 I used to think that was a totally daft idea. Big fat tyres, or suspension, but not both. Now I'm not so sure. Look forward to hearing how you get on with it.

It's a bit too aggressive a tread for a summer tyre...

It sure is a nice bike. Love that pearlescent finish to the frame. Make the most of this nice weather and give it a good thrashing.

100mm FS - perfect for the SDW 🙂

It's about 27lb on my Aldi fishing scales so not too much of a weight penalty (I tell myself).

I like that it doesn't look too 'fat' too.

parking it next to a tractor is cheating...

Nice, like that 😀

Where did you buy the frame? Like the idea of the new Redpoint but the lack of info on the distributors website (Raleigh) doesn't encourage me much to source one or for future warranty

I got it 2nd hand but unbuilt (was on here and the UK Fat bike pages).

Charlie seems to have a relationship with Salsa and, tbh, they seem like good guys too so I took a punt.

If that's 27lbs, I'll eat the big green one next to it!

Fishing scales, surely with the reputation for exaggeration it must be actually 21lbs. 27 does seem far fetched, but doesnt look like the economy version. If i see you on the downs i may ask for a go.

Still a fat virgin. Getting more curious

My bike is that colour 🙂

And I do really want one of yours.

They both are. Briliant dealing with a warranty issue, couldn't ask for more.

Still a fat virgin.

It's much lighter than it looks Daffy, I can vouch for that.

That's because of all of the air in the big tyres

Ahhh I thought it was 'that' bucksaw! After he spent the last few week trashing Salsa and the bucksaw everywhere online he had to drop the price quite a bit to sell the replacement! Looks ace, I was definitely tempted.

I didn't know the backstory, tbh.

It was a good price, though, and my resistance was low 🙂

Having seen and held one of these frames in that colour. I can confirm that in the flesh its a stunning looking machine. Not sure how it would fit into my current quiver of bikes, so luckily managed to avoid buying one.

I didn't know the backstory,

He cracked the seatstays on the drop off on Bradwell Clough in the Peaks and threw all toys out of the pram on the fatbikes facebook group before deleting the thread and trying to sell the replacement, nothing wrong with the frame, I think he just killed his own market! I think you got a bargain. I was going to hold out to see how my work panned out, lucky I did because it didn't go the way I expected and I'm a gentlemen of leisure for the next couple of months!
