Not sure if its the weather or I've dropped a bit of weight or I'm just at that point of not caring anymore but I went out today without the baggies over my bib shorts .... ooh er Mrs.

Whilst functional the bib shorts I have are best worn under some baggies.

So looking for suggestions on some new ones.

So hit me with your recommendations 🙂

Thanks in advance 🙂

Mark

[ctrl-c]Get thee to Decathlon, 700 or 900 series stuff, great value (£50 ish), very comfortable, subtle designs, have worked for me for 200+ road miles. Tried various other premium brands and my arse much prefers these.[ctrl-v]

Just picked up a pair of Rivelo Honister for £50 from Sport Pursuit for spares and they are every bit as comfy as the posh liveried club ones that are saved for sunny days. I've stuck a fair few hours in them now, and not had any discomfort.

Depends if you want light weight roadie ones, or MTB specific ones...? For my money though, Endura, all day, every day.

Another vote for the Rivelo Honister, done a lot of miles in mine on both MTB, road & track and they're all good.

Very hard to beat these for 50 quid. If you're tall and thin and like longer legs the Sportful Bodyfit Pro LTD are very good.

Bought two pairs of Altura Progel bibs to do the HT550 not one sore or irritation but I sent them back as the bib strap had split on both pairs hoping they would exchange but they just refunded me so bear that in mind if you are big up top!

Will be buying again when the sale comes on again

I think I'm a heathen, but they all feel more or less the same to me - I've got some Gore Bike Wear ones that I've had for years, and a few sets of club branded ones (two or three different makes) and the Rivelo ones I mentioned above and they all seem about the same level of durability to me, albeit with different levels of comfort especially when worn all day.

Personally, I mix them up, wearing the Rivelos for MTB by sticking a set of baggies over the top, or just "naked" if on the gravel or road bikes (or am planning to give it some welly on the MTB!) - I've never been very good at separating my kit, tbf, so most stuff gets used for everything, with the exception of some posher tops that don't get worn when riding in filth 🙂

7Mesh MK2 bibs are ace, had mine since last autumn and they have been spot on, quality is very good, the chamois is soooooooo comfortable and they seem to breath well too. Can't recommend enough, just like the rest of their kit really!

Have to admit, I really like the howies shorts. A little short on the leg, but otherwise really nice. Material, while thick, seems to do a good job of wicking when warm and insulating when a little cooler.

It's also incredibly stretchy, which is useful when taking a wild wee.

Not been pleased with my Howies bibs, chamois seems too far forward.

Enduro MT500 bibs have been ace, if a tad warm for this time of year.
