Hi all,

I need a new all day back pack. I have had a North Face Hammerhead for about 8 years now and it's starting to show serious signs of wear. It's also been a little too small for a full day on the bike. I have a small camelbak for shorter rides where I just need to carry the essentials. I have looked at various Ospreys, the MT500 bag (looks hideous), and EVOC - but only online. I like the variety of EVOC bags and they seem to be backed up by decent reviews. Basically something that will carry a bit of food, spare bits, an extra item of small clothing and take a bladder.

Thanks

Col

Osprey Raptor 10 works great for me. Light, comfy, room enough for your listed requirements. Easy access tool roll at the bottom, handy pockets on the either side of the hip strap for snacks etc. Customer service when I damaged mine was excellent too.

/\ plus one for osprey raptors, although mine is 14L i find too big for a regular 2-4 hour ride, i use mainly for walking or big rides

my day to day sack is now a 10l camelbak, in black/orange

+3 for Osprey. Great build quality, well thought out pockets.

Much better than the Deuter that fell apart before it.

I have a Raptor 14, it actually replaced a Hammerhead that was probably about the same age as yours. It's better in pretty much every way to be honest, comes into its own on longer days out when it just seems to swallow a ton of stuff without getting any bigger. The tool roll is ace too.

That's exactly the requirements I had when I needed something bigger than my Camelbak Rogue, I went for the MULE LR 15, brilliant bit of kit.

Even with 3l of water, tools and lunch it's very comfortable as all the weight is kept low on your waist and not on your shoulders.
