On Saturday I took Alpkit's new Sonder Transmitter out on a loop from Edale.

Hollins Cross - Mam Tor - Rushup Edge - Roych Clough - Hayfield - Snake Path - Kinder reservoir - Kinder low - Oaken Clough - Jacobs Ladder - Upper Booth - Edale

Loved the ride, first time I had done the route, had to walk a bit of the ascents, Oaken Clough's steeper bits and a few 100m up to Hollins cross and over Mam Tor bridleway. Descent down Rushup edge was exciting, as I'd heard a lot of stories, just went for it and the football sized rocks made it interesting.

I filmed the Bridleway down Jacob's ladder and the bridleway from the base. Video's not great and quite long - but may give an idea of the route for someone looking. There will be some proper video of the Transmitter coming soon - and I will work on editing!

First two comments on the video - "That's not Jacobs ladder - that's the bypass!"

Do people ride the footpath section down/up?

Any questions about route or bike, just shout,
