Following on from my split hope 20five thread
I’m thinking this may be the opportunity to try out 650b
I tend to ride my gravel bike like a mountain bike anyway, so maybe I am better suited to 650’s
Top of the list is the Hunts, good price, good reviews etc
But... does anyone have any other similar priced options to throw into the pot?
Cheers
PX have a set of 650b non boost wheels for £120...

200g heavier than the hunts, but also £200 cheaper.
DT G 1800's, not silly money, proper wide at 24mm internal and 130KG weight limit so should be pretty tough.
Thanks,
No had much love for fulcrum in the past but they are a very good price.
Dt’s look good, I’ll have a closer look
Not so stealth add. What about a partially new DT Swiss 240 hubbed rear wheel. New WTB asym rim, spokes, hub shell (inc bearings). Used axle, freehub and 142x12 adaptors. Nice and light. £120 posted? Be easy enough to get a front wheel to match (or a dynamo build which was my plan).
Superstar Elements 650b can be had for £140 with code Road50...

I've had them on the gravel bike for a couple of months now and have been spot on. If only they didnt have laser etched rim logos, i'd instantly buy another set for a commuter build...
I bought these:

1550 grams. £249. Seem very good indeed so far
They seem a good deal, good weight and tubeless valves/spare spokes included.

:/
I just checked, TP, and you actually do. Interestingly they look almost identical to my Hunts.
650 gravel wheels are just 650 XC wheels which are not so popular now
We have a decent selection online if you look in the XC bit. Plus as above said we are clearing out all the road stuff for new ranges coming soon at below manufacturing cost....

Cheers all
Cheers nixie but probably too much faff
I need sram 11 drive
QR front and rear, plus adapters for axle front (possibly) and ideally bolt up rotors...
Don’t suppose anyone has any lovely ones sat in their garage not being used?

Pacenti? Really pleased with how my Forzas built up for my gravel build, £400 is a pretty good price for the spec.
im running DT Swiss G1800 Spline without any issues. mine are the 700c but the 24mm internal width handles 50mm tyres no problem.
Thanks again for the options
Unless I’m missing something, I can’t seem to find lighter for the money, than the hunts?
As I ride a steel bike, any weight saving is a bonus but also the whole point of considering the seal to 650b is so I can ride it even harder, so strength vs weight vs not spending much...
