My new frame is now built. 😀
Voodoo Soukri
Slate as necessary, and I know the patio needs a sweep.
Commuted on it today, and it rides lovely.
Will give it a proper ride tomorrow at Llandegla

you really need 120mm in there to unleash the soukri, it's a nice update from the voodoo dambala that was ace as well. Nice bike

Thats very nice!
I had a Wanga which was great but swapped to a Scandal 29er.
Where did you get it from & how much was the frame? What suspension travel is it designed for? Any info would be good.

Dickie, I still have your old Wanga. How's the Scandal?

I said to myself that if I could find a 29er that rode similar to the 26er Wanga I would be happy. Looks like I have found it.

I had to get it from the USA as no one in the UK would import it for me.
Total cost around £380 inc import duty.
Took a while to arrive though.

Can take up to 120mm forks, but I am using 80mm as the bike was built for long events that I am doing this year like the HONC and Kielder (gears for that though)and I will put stubby bar ends on for that on the flat bars so that I have the low racer position.

Don't know about Thursday Mick, depends if we're doing the Burway?
May bring the bouncer. 😕

Scandals fine, but Wanga rode better - I should have known when you said you had a Wanga & wanted another. If Wanga was slightly longer it would have been better for me.
So a 29er longer Wanga! Well spotted!!

Mr Frosty - read the thread!!

I have a suspicion that you may be able to get these from Halfords, they did a few voodoo bikes recently and have updated the lines for 2011 (I have the blue bokor from them and really bloody love it)

[edit] sliding lockable dropouts

Halfrauds refused to source me one as it was not a complete bike and not part of the new range.
Plus mine is steel and the new line up is aluminium.

I found a couple of places in the US that were prepared to ship it over
