I'm perfectly chilled 🙂

It's effectively a DH track, albeit a blue graded one, there's pretty much no DH trails anyhwere on the planet that descend the best part of 2000' that are 'singletrack', really. The width allows some nice rollable newbie lines, and more competent riders to take stuff at a much higher speed, and even gap some of the corners, like a lot of similarly built stuff.

I feel lucky to have such a place 3 hours up the road tbh, canny wait to go. Feels like we're finally getting a 'bikepark' up here, just need Glencoe to invest a bit and cash in (though they have ownership issues)

there really are quite a lot. the first thing that springs to mind is a lap of top of the world in whistler, which has approx 5000' of singletrack descent

Is it just me who thinks that looks a bit like a motorway? I know it’s a blue and it’s freshly cut, but it’s hardly singletrack is it?

It looks like a trail centre blue route, which I'm guessing is the idea.

It will be great. Once I'm knackered after 7 5 3 runs down Top Chief I can bimble down the blue without worrying about smashing myself off a lump of granite.

Hopefully its the start of more expansion and the red level singletrack will come later.

I'm sure you'll beast me for this when I eventually pester you to take me on a ride in Ayrshire, but that's complete mince 🙂

A heck of a lot of riding in Der Schweiz is indeed that. loads of local stuff around many towns with hills (Jura), but especially Graubunden area (e.g. Davos, St. Moritz, Lenzerheide, Flims/Laax). Its amazing!

https://www.petzen.net/en/summer/activities/mtb-zone-bikepark-petzen/flow-country-trail 11.5km flow trail, 1000m /3200ft of descending.

If the Nevis blue is like this it'll be bloody brilliant.

Is it too early to ask "what tyres for mincing down the NR Blue?"

Off to Scotland next weekend and hoping to do this.

I was up there last Monday, the ticket office said the lower part in the woods was open but there was still a fair bit to finish further up. It looks good and they still plan to open at some point this year but I'd have say it definitely won't be open by next weekend
