I've been bimbling around on a Specialised Sirrus for a couple of years, which I like, & is very comfy, however I'd like to be a bit more 'gravelly' & lighter (the Sirrus weighs a whopping 13.3KG).
There's a Kinesis G2 & a Cotic Escapade both in my small size which are in budget & was wondering what the opinions from the hive minds would be.
The weight Isn't the be all & end all mind, the Cotic's steel & the G2's alloy. Both seem to have decent upgrades (wheels) but I'm not up to speed with what's what any more. I imagine the Cotic would be a bit more comfy, but I think It's older.
Also, I have no idea what these are actually worth apart from 'what your'e willing to pay.
Opinions/advice please!

I had a Cotic Escapade for a bit, very like the one you linked to. It was nice enough, but I wasn't wowed by it. It was a touch too small for me (small frame, I'm 5'8" and a bit) and I did suffer from a bit of toe overlap, which was a bit annoying at times. The earlier versions were a bit limited for tyre clearance, about 40c, or 38c with full mudguards.
I sold mine (lower spec, 1x10 drivetrain and cable brakes) for £620 in October.
Personally, of the two, I think I'd go for the Kinesis, certainly if its lighter. I think this type of bike does benefit from being quite light, and in my experience, the Escapade offered little in the way of the 'benefits of steel' (and I say that as an owner of two other steel bikes)
Can't wait for the YouTube reviews.

I’m only just 5’6” so a small should be right. However since I posted the original it’s turned out I can get a new Speedwork for £1100. I know it’s not a ‘gravel’ bike but I quite like the flat bars setup on my Sirrus.
I used to be very indecisive about these kind of things but now I’m not so sure.
@hardtailonly, interesting. I didn't bid on the Cotic anyway & neither did anyone else. Which indicates it was probably expensive.
Any ideas about the Cannondale Topstone Carbon? The one with the rear pivot.
It can't be as stiff as one without, shirley?
