You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi
Looking at the OS map, there's a bunch of bridleways running north from Nether Wasdale, around Ponsonby Fell / Swainston Knott. Would these be rideable on a gravel bike type thing, to get from Was****er towards Ennerdale YHA area, rather than going round on the road?
thanks
That'll be a somber ride.
spooky.......
I'm not sure if they are coffin trails or not. 🙂
Probably the best way to check out the terrain if you get no answers is to look on Geograph. I did, and it looked like a mixture of decent forestry track, fields with a bit of bog thrown in.
That would be pretty cool if they are, I've done a big mixed surface route around the lakes (see here) and plan to do something similar again. That'd help.
I found this, which could help a little:

lego - yes, that's why I'm looking! off to do your route in a couple of weeks, starting in Slaidburn and taking in Salter Fell (3 1/2 days)
