There's a few Neilson fans on here. I've been to Sivota before, off to Messini this October.
Whats the biking like, both road and MTB?
Are we allowed to take bikes out on our own, especially interested if anyone has GPX files for some off road routes.
I'm going to guess that the bikes will be 29 hardtails with no dropper?
Hoping to spend most of the time at the beach though, so any pointers on that welcome too.
We went in July and did a few rides, I think it's one of the better Neilsons for cycling.
They have new Boardmans which seem to be pretty good, 29er trail hardtails (no dropper), gravel bikes and road bikes. Yes, you can take them out on your own and they have Strava maps you can download there and they may have some Garmins to lend you as well. They have some phone holders which we borrowed.
Staff were all good and there's plenty of route options for you. I was keen to try a gravel bike for the first time and was impressed, now considering n+1!
As above, but worth noting they have several Garmin mounts available if you're taking your own. Only did a beer run myself, but bikes were in good nick. Spent my time playing on the water instead!

Happy to answer any questions.

unless they have a computer I can use, that's no good for my ageing 520 - anybody know if I can get them ahead of time?
Otherwise sounds good, and possibly try dipping my toe into this fashionable gravel thing. No dropper means I'll be taking my own shoes and pedals (I really cant ride flats with the seat up).
Looking at google maps 3D it seems there is 10km of flat land in all directions, and then into some decent hills.
If you have an iphone (or I guess any smart phone) you can get all their routes through the Neilson Strava page if you have the app. If you're a technophobe like me the staff there can load it for you in an instant!

Was there in June. Cracking road biking and some decent paced rides that were pretty lumpy.
MTB wise - far from great - mainly dusty farm tracks and no real singletrack. Got chatting to one of the guides who was out there with his full sus and was saying there was no point in having it as no technical riding at all
Hi
Yes you can take bikes out on your own if they havent been booked out for a group ride
Yes, they will upload a Garmin with a suitable route
Yes., they are HT without dropper post as they are unneccessary for a jeep track to an olive grove
The road riding is excellant , the mtb not as good .
If you can, get a road bike and head out into the mountains due east , about 45mins- 55mins flat lands back past the airport then its up into the foothills, and on up into the mountains
