Hoping someone can help with this, basically looking for a tiny shifter mount for a SRAM X1 shifter.

New bike came with SRAM gears & brakes, but just don't like the brakes as much as my Shimano Zee brakes. In order to swap the brakes out however, I need to find a handlebar mount for the shifter, as this screws into the brake fitting.

Basically looking for this part http://www.jensonusa.com/Shifter-Small-Parts/SRAM-Trigger-Clamp-Assembly?cu=GBP but in stock somewhere in the UK but had no luck, would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, thanks 🙂

That would have been really handy (if a little pricey, £20 for 1), but they're out of stock for the single adaptors 🙁

When I ran into this problem and needed to ride I made a temporary fix using a jubilee clip with a hole drilled through it to take the little silver insert that allows you to bolt up the shifter bit. Worked fine. Painted it black so it didn't stand out and to be honest you would have had to look hard to see that it wasn't factory. Eventually went 1x10 so was able to loose the shifter on that side (had a mount for the RH side anyway).

I had the same problem and in the end I bought a cheap used SRAM shifter just to take the clamp off of it. I think I bought an old X7 shifter for £10 as I couldn't bring myself to pay £20 for one shifter clamp.

I bought two from JE James a couple of months ago for £4.99 each. Might be worth a phone call.

The amazon and JE James ones would be handy, but like stompweaver there's something about paying £20 for a tiny clamp that puts me off.

That said, http://www.reverse-components.com/shop/en/REVERSE-Trigger-Klemme-for-SRAM-Dark-Blue-Trigger-Clamp-alloy-with-screw-11g comes in various colours which takes the sting out of it. Only I can't seem to order off of that site.

Looking at ebay, I could get x7 shifters (so one mount and a spare in case it ever breaks) for a fraction of the cost of one new mount.

If I'm not mistaken, the Zee brakes are I-Spec B, in which case you could mount the shifter directly to them using the Matshi adapter from Trickstuff. I have the X01 shifter on XT brakes with the MKI adapter.
