Largely due to the feedback round here I'd pretty much decided I wanted a Tempest, but the XL was out of stock, then an example popped up on eBay just down the road from me...
Back in early lockdown days I had got past my fear of drop bar bikes and purchased a CX bike. It had become the bike I use most often, but have casually been on the lookout for a proper gravel bike to give my old man body a bit more comfort (chunkier tyres, larger frame, non-alu frame).
Anyway, picked up the Tempest on Saturday and popped the Hunt wheels I'd had on the the CX bike onto it, along with some fresh 45mm tyres. First ride yesterday and it seems like a good-un.

Swapping my wheels in to lose the decal plastered rims and tan wall tyres helped a lot cosmetically, but had to also ditch the red headset spacers and white saddle it came with!
