Hopefully the link above works and you can see my new build Specialized Chisel FS. Absolutely love it! fast and very playful bike and works really well with my 150mm Giant Trance Trail Bike. The Specialized feels so fast. Built up from:
- Specialized Chisel FS FrameÂ
- SILT AM front and XC rear wheels
-SLX drive chain (30T X 11/50)
-4 Pot Tektro brakes, 180mm front and rear discs.
-50mm DMR Defy polished stem
-170mm dropper
- Specialized MIMIC Saddle
Whole bike cost around £2,200 (ish).
Really happy with how the bike came out. The internal cable routing is a bit tricky and can take a few hrs to thread it all correctly. It's also a bit fiddley to get the 180mm disc running correctly in the rear as the bike is designed for 160mm only and you need to play around with spacers to get it all aligned correctly. Bike is XL and not a light weigh whippet, I would guess around 13.2kgs, but I did not go for a super light build. First run out and the only issue is a tiny bit of internal cable rattle, so happy with that 🙂Â
