Morning all,
Recently had the itch for a new hardtail to replace my mk2 Sandal that would be happy covering distance while also being a bit playful too. Step forward a 2022 Procaliber 9.6 found looking for some love on eBay, with a Fox 32 Step Cast fork, M4100 brakes, a crazy long stem, flat bars and XC tyres. So along then came some hand me down M8100 brakes from my Fuel Ex, a Thomson stem and carbon low rise bar from the parts pile, new tyres for the north downs winter mire and rather lovely SID Ultimate 120mm with RD3 damper.
She weighed 10.9kg when bought and after rebuilding comes in at 11.6kg which given the chunky tyres I'm rather happy about. All that's left to go on is a set of M8100 pedals when they arrive once the Christmas post catches up with itself.
After a very quick 5k spin out the estate and some very local and mucky paths she promises to be all kinds of fun, picking up speed quickly, handling is smooth and just feels nice to ride.  Will be in Wales next week and very much looking forward a blast along the Llandegla Blue which promises to an absolute hoot!
Thanks, am very pleased with it indeed 😎
Trek do some lovely paint jobs.
