As part of the COVID recovery I treated myself to a new (to me) bike The Ti in TiRed is for titanium and I now have a titanium fixed wheel road bike. It's a 10-year old custom Enigma Echo in as new condition with full Campag Record bits (carbon brake levers and titanium calipers). Went out on first shakedown club ride yesterday and fettled the bar/lever position and retaped when I got home.

It is fabulous. And fast enough for a rolling mid-paced club ride. https://www.strava.com/activities/8155078679/overview

Edit. Images added. The Red refers to my hair.

I got the Ti bit, but I was never sure if he was also tired, or maybe a ginge?

Images added for your delight. I swapped the original BoatAnchorFixie(R) wheels for my handbuilt Harry Rowland low flange light wheel set. Set the position exactly as per race bike. Currently sporting 49x16 which is 3.02:1 or about 81 inches in old money - 90 RPM is 21 mph. Currently up to six fixed wheel bikes including one for the track and two folding bikes.

@duner I've sent a request for info for the history of the bike, which clearly was a roadman's ideal winter bike. The carbon mudguards are an impressive touch too.

I always thought red was reference to the group set.
Or possibly, from the days before visible carbon fibre weave, the two fastest colours were red, and bare ti.
Always admired the word play from someone who based on other posts is clearly intelligent and a very able road rider.

Round here they prefer those electric scrambler type motorbikes, worn with a black hoodie and no helmet. It used to be quad bikes but they've kind of gone out of fashion, it seems. But I suspect you get a better class of roadman up your way?

Very nice.

With benefit of hindsight, wish I'd saved myself about £1k and got an Enigma rather than a Laverack. It's lovely, but not £1k lovelier.

Where's that like button again?

Ah - you pretty much went past my house on that ride (Twickenham). Should have popped by for a cuppa! 🙂
