Turns out it's been 18 months since I upgraded any of the kids bikes, so it's about time for a NBD.
dc20 off of here offered up a Giant Anthem in XS 26" flavour and I grabbed it.
It's now running 24" wheels off her old bike from this thread:

Nukeproof yoof pedals (that are lovely!)
SLX/Deore/XT brakes.
SIDs that daddy attempted to service (it didn't go well) and new bearings and shock service (that did go well)
70mm 27.2mm Brand-x dropper shimmed up, internally routed which meant drilling the frame.
Bit disappointed by 26.8lbs but as her older brother moves up in size I'm expecting a trickle down of some tricker bits.
