You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
After getting FOMO from seeing all the kidzzz in the new skatepark and pump track, I bandied together a bunch of spare frame/forks/wheels, alongside a few 3d printed spacers (steerer and freehub), and bought new cranks and SS tensioner, and I now have a rather fun/daft 29er jump/pump/park bike!
It's actually really fun and zippy around the pump track - big wheels are completely fine there. And a bit of jumping and jibbing in the skate park was only limited by my (lack of) skill!
It's a proper upper body workout pulling and pushing the bars eh!

Oh - the 140mm rear rotor was all I had calliper mounts for! A wee bit underkill!
tis fun though - wanna be able to 180 it on the flat by the end of 2026...!

Awesome frame. You can get a 160 rotor for peanuts, get that done
A 180 in 24 months, I want monthly updates on here. Think of it as your new routine. Taking responsibility for progress ?
Thank you! Oh i've multiple 160/180 rotors..just didn't have the right IS to flat adaptor!
Will nab one off a mate, as trying NOT to buy new things for this!

A tip to someone new to pumping, focus on using your legs more than your arms. Your legs are much stronger so can provide more pump and will fatigue less.
A friend of a friend was a pro 4X racer and told me that, it worked wonders and makes sense when you think about it.
@DrP just a word of caution to you young man . Two mates trying to regain that lost yoof . One XC racer joined his little boy at the skate park got a bit squirrelly ended up knackering his ACL been off the bike for months just about hobbling around now . Second ex MTB guide in Whistler his boys got into BMX racing so he decided to give it a go ? Came up short on a jump broke his collarbone and snapped off part of his shoulder blade ! His comment I don't bounce like I used to , I had to remind him about the time he broke his neck in Whistler when he was a lot younger! He said oh yeah I forgot about that!
I thought it was going to be a BMX. Oh and it looks like that carwash is going to ruin your paint.
That's the most dad pump track bike ever, love it 😀
If you can do a decent bunny hop on flat pedals you can 180 in a day.
good stuff.
I am yet to try the new pump track, but hopefully in the new year. Will need to blow the dust off my DJ bike.
Oldies STW session in the summer!
I'll prep Brighton A+E for our arrival 😉

180s aren't too hard to learn, at least on BMX and 26". I struggle more with them on bigger wheels, haven't tried it on a 29er yet as I'm always worried about folding the wheels on a botched attempt, feels like there's more leverage for that on 29ers!
Never got the hang of 360s even on the flat, even a cheat/back wheel pivot 360 I struggled with. Would love to be able to do a dumped 360 over a dirt jump!
IT'S GONNA BE A STINKER, LET'S GOOOOO!
How tall are you btw?
What no Unicorn wrap?
Just waiting for the drone follow-me footage of the OTB and trip to the Royal Sussex in a hurry 😉
Keep going and enjoy your bike!
I’ve got a Dirt Jump/Street Trials bike. I ride at our local Pumptrack and on our local steps, kerbs and other street furniture.
in the Winter it keeps all that mud off you and your bike and it’s great exercise.
