2019 Yeti SB130 Lunchride. Have absolutely no need for one, but have wanted one since my mate got his a couple of years ago.
It's had a life for sure. Bought frame and fork. My very good mechanic mate fitted all new bearings, greased the swtichlink and spent some time trying to get the dropper post to emerge from its convoluted routing! I've invisiframed it and it looks good from about 10 feet 🙂
Mostly fitted with 'spares' I've been buying over the last year. Hunt Trailwide wheels, SLX transmission, MT7 brakes, one up 210 post, some old Renthal far bar and apex stem (which I'll probably swap for something with a bit more rise)
Quick blast suggests that geo/size wise it's VERY close to my v2 RipMo it feels quite different. Even weights about the same. I really don't need this bike as well as the RipMo and my Giga but, but it was a very good price and I've always wanted a Yeti. Especially one of these.
Big ride out to the Yat/Staunton tomorrow so that'll be an excellent proving ground. Shall report back 🙂
Should be NBD for me but it's currently on its way to Gretna (0617) so won't make the delivery vans for today.
Which means I'll be trying to wfh on Monday (teacher) but have an optician appointment middle of the day, I'm already laying bets on the delivery slot.
Love a Yeti. For what they actually are, I've no idea why they coast so much, but who cares; they are so nice. I've been lucky enough to have two, an ASRc 5 and now an ARC HT and both were/are just sublime

There are certain brands/bikes that I just always "wanted" and a nice looking Yeti like that ticks that box.
I ride a mountain bike a couple of times a year, as local stuff is more gravel bike territory. Maybe if I got a Yeti I'd use it more.....

Ridden. It's fab. Planted, plush and pointy. I think it's going to get a lot of ride miles this summer when it's dry. "Serviced" shock has a knock so that's going back to get fixed, short term I have a spare Fox Float X of the same length so that'll get installed for next weekend away riding Porlock trails.

I fitted my 'spare' Float X that's the same length (what a palaver that ended up being. Let's just say I really don't like removing DU bushes and leave it at that 😉 ) and the 'knock' you could feel/hear as shock transitioned from compression has gone. So the DPX2 it came with is going back to the shop it was serviced in April and has apparently never been ridden since.
I only swapped shocks because a) I'm impatient b) I really wanted to know where the knock was coming from and since we'd changed all the bearing, it really had to be the shock and c) we're off for a weekends riding in Porlock next Friday and I wanted to take the 'new' bike. Which, based on the forecast, I've bought a big mudhugger guard for!
I think the expression we're looking for here is 'negative ghostrider the pattern is full' 🙂 Two of those bikes aren't mine tho. Nor the one you can't see in the roof, or the other one next door. I don't believe I have a 'problem' 🙂

I would have preferred the classic Yeti colour, but the 2nd hand market wasn't offering one up. I'll have to pretend the RipMo is actually that colour 🙂
Swap those grips at the same time. They clash horribly with the Turq highlights

@hammerandcycle - I'll stick the shockwiz on the Float X. It doesn't have the Yeti Secret Sauce tune but I don't expect I'll notice 😉 Yeti do helpfully provide a starting setup values for sag/lsc/rebound.
Good shout on the BB, running 165mm cranks. The original guard is in pretty good condition but I've pre-ordered a new one (and a mech hanger) from Silverfish. Currently out of stock. I've also added a thicker layer of protection tape under the BB and bottom of the swingarm.

@nickc - sadly the other set of Ergon grips I ordered in what i thought was the 'right' colour were in fact very wrong. So went with these instead and shall refer to the bike as 'Hotblack Desiato". But with less 'spending a year dead for tax reasons' 🙂

I've tried surviving with just a short-travel shred sled and a big enduro bike, but I'm currently building up another "middle" bike after flogging my Starling.
@chakaping - I'm sure I'd do the same... the RipMo was 2nd hand anyway, it doesn't really owe me anything, and I'm not going to get much selling it so I'm sure I'll just keep all of them. It's not really a problem other than space in the shed!
Quick update. Still like it very much. Still don't like cleaning it. Which there has been a lot of. Cut up a front mudguard to give all those bearings and the switch link at least the barest chance of surviving an English summer 😉
Not ridden anything else since I bought the Yeti. It may still be new bike glasses but there does feel something a bit special about the Yeti experience. Other than the knowledge it's going to take blooming ages to de-mud. Added some higher rise bars and 10mm on the stem and definitely prefer it. I'm leaving it alone now tho as it was meant to be a a budget build!
