Hi folks.
Picked up my new bike on Saturday. First new bike in ten years so super stoked.
Will take some photos and do a wee review at the weekend.
In the mean time, I have an issue with the dropper. It drops. When I am peddling along. On its own. If I push the leaver up the way after I have released it the post stays up a bit better but still gives.
So, does the barrel adjuster take care of this or will it be needing returned?
Cheers,
Garry
Sound like it's just been set up badly....
Sounds like a cable is too tight, if there is adjustment in the barrel adjuster then just slacken the cable off a bit.
It's just not fully releasing the little lever at the bottom of the post, a bit less cable tension and it should be fine. Have you adjusted the saddle height since you picked it up?
Hiya. Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah had raised it a touch. However, had another look tonight including playing with the barrel adjuster. Noticed a fair bit of grease leaking out from the seal...that'll be the problem then!! Back to the shop with it!

not nessacerily, grease could just be internal grease coming out on early use. Sounds more like cable which is set up but the nice thing about a new bike is you can go back and get it sorted, whats the post?
Hi. The post is an RFR. I think they make them for Cube but I could be wrong. I'll phone Dales again today to see what they think is the best course of action. I played around with cable tension last night and slackened it right off but it just kept dropping every time I sat on it.
RFR is just Cube's own brand for parts. Is it internally routed or external?
