Picked up a shop soiled carbon Levo from Tredz. It was a great price at £3570 and I should get another £150 back on TopCashback.

Changed everything on it to my existing bits and bought a coil Push ElevenSix shock from TF Tuned. The Domain forks were already Smashpotted and had the upgraded Charger 2.1 RC2 damper.

Did a local loop maiden voyage this arfo.

it’s a beaut, toight like a tiger. Definitely an improvement on my Trek Rail which I loved.

Looks nice but don't you realise that they're not real bikes? What you're doing is not cycling.

It's true I just read it in the e-bike thread.

👍 Looks good. Been riding various Turbo Levos since 2017 and never been disappointed. 50/50 with my Enduro

Back then if you had posted the same you would have had a right old bashing for pages. 🤣

How times have changed. Now its mostly encouragement along with a few negatives usually from the same few.

I sometimes wonder if they even ride bikes 😉

I can’t be bothered to read the other ebike thread as I was guessing there’d be a lot of dull trolling?!
Fair do’s, they design a good bike. Technically it’s too big for me as an S4 and I’m 5’8” but the 175mm dropper works a treat and I’m loving the reach and dinky stem.
This was my last Specialized, an SX Trail:

what do you notice compared to the rail? i've a gen 3 9.8 with ext coil, smashpot zeb, axs gearing and shigura brakes. i find no downsides except the weight

I never ran a coil on the rear of the Rail but most other bits are the same as yours, including Shiguras.

The other difference is going from a medium Rail to a large Levo.

maybe because the Levo is brand new and the Rail is now 3 years old, gen 2 too.

It felt a better fit, more planted and comfy. It somewhat surprised me because I loved riding the Rail.

@mrmoofo I did write a few words a couple of responses back.

it felt more stable but still capable on the nadergy stuff.

Honestly hard to compare fairly because the Rail is medium , the Levo is large and brand new!

when I borrowed my mates alu Levo S4 I was faster everywhere than on my Rail and my Rail was pretty good! My Rail was the smaller gen2 too.

I could even just unconsciously think the Levo is better because I’ve dropped a load of dosh so it’d better be! 🤔

They do, but not very far and they’re knackered for days when they’re finished.  Unlike us enlightened types.

Oh nice.

I left in 1996 to go to uni and the wide world but moved back 2013.

my wife’s from Tresaith and we now live in Aberporth.

Getting an ebike 4 years ago meant I could finally cycle up the back side of Foel y Mwnt after a teenage hood of failure!
