I see lots of posts asking for recommendation for wide fitting shoes but am not coming across much in the way of narrow show recommendations.

A few years ago I bought my first pair of SPD shoes, being Shimano Shimano M064. I also have the same pair in SPD-SL variant (not sure the model but they look pretty identical).

These are far too wide for my feet, so much so that on my first triathalon I acidentally put the shoes on the wrong pedals an had no problem or after affects from the 20k cycle.

I also have a pair of SH-MW700-S winter boots from Shimano, again much to wide though more adjustable that the others so more comfortable. I can wear 3 pairs of socks with these (actually useful for the winter).

I'm looking for a new pair of summer shoes for commuting. Ideally something on the cheap side.

Anyone recommend any things in particuar or brands in general?

Shimano work for me, been wearing them for 25 years, v narrow feet.

Sorry!

I have found Bontrager and Diadora are narrower than Shimano.

I have the same problem - girly-man narrow feet with extra high arches. Sidi and Giro work best for me (although with current NRA kerfuffle Giro are now out), and on a case-by-case basis some of the higher end Specialized shoes also work.

I think Fizik shoes are meant to be narrow as well (and probably made by someone like Giro anyway) but I haven’t had a chance to try them.
