you beat me to it. I stacked it at the bottom last time I was there. I never found the desent from the top of the forest either, so need to get there soon while its still dry.

theres a good guide on the mtb wales site - if it worked for me, it can work for anyone - you need a map obviously (which you'd need anyway venturing out that way...)

Also too smooth for Garurn, god know what Stu would do if it was. That and it finished on a road, not gates and not steep enough.

thought that looked that one, i got sprung off a rock and was saved by that barbed wire fence. we rode it to the bottom ish then hiked straight up the hill onto the ffawddog ridge and found a really nice descent that doubled back, dropped to the lane and back to the abbey for a pint. btw sss that descent is where i took aliases sultan down, like a magic carpet!

Funny enough I took a Sultan test bike down there too.

Drac.

There's something about that descent that just shakes you to the bone.

Though you cant see it on camera.

There are much rockyer descents on the route but none of them feel as rough as that.
