A the grand old age of 33 and 3/4 I bought this,

The last time I had a BMX it cost me 5 quid and a couple of nudie mags I found in the woods.
I've never been able to ride them, always been on mountain bikes I feel really off balance on it like I'm going to flip over, does anybody here play on the kids bikes and can give me any tips?
My plan is to practice manualing rollers at the BMX track and get some pegs and try some flatland stuff.

Cheers
Scott

I am 40yo and fairly recent owner of two Raleigh Burners. They weigh a good chunk more than my HTs

Live fast and die young is it? 😉

40s now and I refuse to consider that mid life. It is a crisis though. Mainly because I need a bigger house for n+1.

My mid life crisis was a Santa Cruz Blur. She was so out of my league. We had a great year together before MrsMC gave me an ultimatum, her or the Blur.

I really miss that bike.

I bought it for £50 off a kid who said he was too old for it now. (he was about 15!)

He's probably just nicked it.

Your N+1 bike has N-1 brakes! 😉

3 months older than you, and been contemplating a BMX for a looooooong time now... Never been able to ride one either, but like you I'm feeling like it's time to learn!

mboy, get one! just back in from playing in the carpark for an hour of manuals and bunny hops, starting to get the hang of it already. BMX track tomorrow. Going to need to get a brake though and some better pedals.

My view on mid-life: life begins at forty, life expectancy 80(ish), therefore mid-life = 60. You're barely half way there!! 😉 get out and enjoy it
