I'm thinking some kind of DH bike as it doesnt go round the axle(?)

Could be a jump frame w track end style drop outs, think my Mongoose had something similar.

Betd call that Hanger No 101 and it fits:
* the Muddy Fox DH Team bike from 2002 and 2003
* the Coyote DH3
* plus some Azonic frames

Those things are pretty expensive but it's probably not worth buying a frame to match the hanger, though 🙂
