I was one of the people who ordered an imaginary frame from SICK!.After months of chasing first my frame and then a refund I finally got my money back through PayPal.I then ordered a Chromag Rootdown frame from James at Pedals Bike Care and the experience could not have been more different! I ordered a large black frame and was contacted within moments to say that the black frames had just sold out and that I could either wait until the next shipment from Canada or if I wanted a blue frame (my very close second choice) it would ship the next day and he would throw in some goodies as recompense for it not being my first choice. This was on Monday and today my frame arrived along with some Chromag branded additions! I would just like to say thanks to James at Pedals Bike Care and that I can wholeheartedly recommend them. This is how to run a bike business!

That's not how the Real Community Bros do things. Hang your head in shame.

First rate shop and staff. They have done various fork services, wheel rebuilds etc. Always reasonably priced, quick turn around and excellent service. Long live decent local bike shops.

Hope you enjoy your chromag, bit spendy for me but always had an itch for one.

For posting pics use here and you want hot link for forums, its a doddle

I’m so out of touch that I thought a Cromag Rootdown was a bike model by Sick, so I was well confused. 🤔 Nice one, get those pics up.

Cheers for the kind words 🙂 Luckily we had no issues onshoring these 😅😅

We were out testing the Wideangle at Glentress tonight, it's a hoot so your Rootdown should be a hootandablast 🚲

The Sick! Boys will be kicking themselves they didn’t come up with the OP’s username as a frame model name.

Hmmmmm
They are always rude to me and my bikes
"what stupid bike are you talking about Now?"
Mind you they did do a really good couple of wheel builds for me and the bill was less than the quote!

The only bike shop in Edinburgh I would let touch any of my stupid bikes

Good guys!

Wait?! Is Pedals Bikes the legendary subject that all of STW can agree on? 😲

nice.. how are you building it up?

my main bike is a 27.5+ / 29 full susser. I have both wheelsets and switch a bit but have been toying with the idea of building a HT I can swap on to with a similar build so my spares work on both bikes.

I'm mainly just transferring the stuff off my 29er Nordest Bardino (A great bike by the way.I've only got a new frame because I fancy a change!)I may however splash out on some new forks as I feel like trying some of the newish Marzocchis.

The guys at Pedals are awesome, they sent me a fudge bar with my last frame purchase.....it's was supposed to be a curly wurly but I forgave them.

My forthcoming next frame might be via them too

Dunno really. I might put it on the classifieds if none of my mates want it.
