Looks like my predictions for the evolution of gravel tyres has been too conservative.

Available in 2.8" or 3.0"

Looking forward to the next generation of [s]gravel[/s] monstertour™* bikes now.

Great news for those who don't ride on billiard table gravel. 🙂

Old news

Takes a while for my generation to get up to date. 🙂

But more to the point, where can I get a set in this country?

Oh i say, Surly Krampus and a set of those with Jones bars. I could be tempted.

I used to ride the Speedster 650 x 1.9s a lot before I could get WTB Horizons. My experience was that nothing else picks up tiny flints, shards and other puncture-causers like they do, the centre tread particularly. Not sure if the estate roads there have much of that in them but avoid these tyres if they do. Otherwise they were great, used on first TNR recce ride and they were perfect.

Wire bead and weight in excess of kilo - why can't we have a kevlar bead / skin wall version? It would be a great summer tyre for these parts where it's mainly soft sand or hardpack
